The rule with speaking any foreign language is practice. If you have no one to speak English with, then you get no feedback on mistakes, so you may improve. Also Filipina's are naturally shy, so talking with a foreigner is difficult for them. Now the flip side of that coin foreigner's may struggle with speaking Tagalo. Also, he doesn't want to speak the wrong word that could land him in jail, which is fair considering we're in a foreign country, and we have few rights in the Philippines. Case in point, Lorie is married to an American (not sure), so speaking with her hubby everyday improves her English and confidence. Lorie speaks English very well for her 2nd language. Don't be shy speaking English with Foreigners Filipina's, we don't bite, unless you ask us to, lol😉

If you've been to the Philippines and among expats, then you know black men have NO PROBLEM dating Filipinas. The TRUTH is, Filipinas are looking for GREEN and stability, ie someone to provide and give money and help their family. They are looking for FOREIGNERS, and any man who can provide that will likely have a chance. I mean, how many YOUNG foreign guys do they have to pick from? Not a lot, the vast majority are aging men, and the majority of those are white. Nothing is really surprising here, this is a colonized country so we know how many of them buy whitening creams to get the skin color they will never truly have. However, there are also MANY Filipinas who DONT buy into that, and acceptance of dark skin is becoming more commonplace at a faster pace: Philippines just picked a dark skinned half Black Filipina as their Miss Universe candidate which is HUGE for the Philippines.

Most foreigners, especially Americans were raised and taught be independent once they reached their legal age. In America. I know of separations and divorces of Filipino-Americans married to Americans because of parents. They seemed to want their independence more than the guidance or assistance of parents. If the husband (foreigner) offers to provide financial assistance to the parents of his wife, then I see nothing wrong with it. Just don't make it his responsibility, even if such a law in the country supports it. His ultimate responsibility is to his wife and children.

You do know that if a younger Filipino girl marries a 70 year old guy, she is only doing it for his money. It’s also perverted on the guys part. It’s just plain gross 🤮. A guy who was in his late sixties early seventies walked inside a restaurant I was at holding hands with a young Filipino girl who had to be in her early twenties. They sit behind me and I got up and moved to another table. I about puked. The guy even looked like a child predator

Not all 70 year olds are lonely 🤔. I’ve lived in the Phils, I now visit 3-6 months every year. I still play sports 6 days per week against younger players. I’m 70 later this year but obviously my best days are behind me 😩. So not a good idea for a younger filipina to put up with whatever is likely to come in the next 15/20 years. Of course age definitely does matter.

I wish you would mention the location you are doing the interviews from. It would be interesting to know what area of the Philippines the girls are in who give their answers. I will be moving to the Philippines soon. I have my plane ticket and am ready to find my true love but, I am 61 yrs old and never had children. I lived a healthy life and was in the US Army a long time. American women are mentally unstable and require you to bend over backwards or break your back just to get there name! Getting a date is impossible without being insulted or made a fool of! I’m done trying to find a wife in the USA!!!😢

Ah…. The lonely 70yr….:

I am 73. My wife from Davao is 48. She is about 5' 7" and 115 pounds and pretty healthy. I have promised her when she gets old I will buy her a real nice walker with two cup holders and even push a wheelchair for her, if necessary. When we got married, and even now a dozen years later, I only need half the sleep she requires, 1/3 the food she eats, and still do the heavy labor (like landscaping and construction) around the property. I did not hold it against her that she was younger, a member of the more delicate sex, and had a child. By the way, her (Filipino) dad is in his 70's and is still working like a horse, and even bounced back from a carabao breaking a few of his ribs last year and puncturing one of his lungs. Old guys can be pretty tough and having a 20 year greater age difference may make us pretty compatible.
